FLEET for Unseeded Velocity Measurements in All Speed Regimes

Description

Femtosecond laser electronic excitation tagging (FLEET) can provide the required velocity measurements using nitrogen already present in the air.

Benefits

The Data Fusion Workflow Engine will improve LaRC ASDC data product generation and Science Directorate data analysis. For the tasks with heavy data IO, performance can be improved up to an order of magnitude, greatly decreasing time in science products generation. The highest impact of proposed technology can be expected for the data fusion tasks, such as combining data from multi-satellite constellations or multi-sensor observations. The DFWE technology will enable NASA to build cost-efficient IT infrastructures that are adaptive to increases in data demand.
