Solid State Hydrogen Storage

Description

Demonstrate that a metal enclosed within a palladium capsule can be used as a solid-state storage medium for hydrogen by conversion to a metal hydride, then releasing the hydrogen from the hydride as needed.

Benefits

Nanostructured materials (such as carbon nanotube sheets) with potential to store large quantities of hydrogen in a very small volume will be explored.
