Description

The primary motivation of this work was to eliminate hazards associated with electrolytic energy storage devices such as lithium ion and replace NASA's Range Safety Battery.

Benefits

The novel design approach represents a 50x decrease in up mass and a simpler design that eliminates failure modes present in many state of the art systems.
