Description

Assess two new approaches to control Hall thruster plumes. Will produce new Hall thruster designs that have enhanced performance and reduced erosion of the host spacecraft.

Benefits

New Hall thruster design features that will reduce the length of electric propulsion spacecraft by 5-15% and reduce the trip time by up to 22%.
