We will characterize cryogenic characteristics of electronic cicuit components to develop a power supply regulator for managing output from a solar array, capable of full operation at cryogenic temperatures (~50 K) as seen on the lunar surface at lunar dawn.
Integrating extreme-cold-tolerant and cryogenically operable electronic architectures on lunar robotic missions offers the promise of reliably operating across multiple lunar day/night and polar-region eclipse cycles without dependance on external power infrastructure or radio-isotropic power sources.
