Lunar dust capture using novel multi-plexed inertial filter

Description

Multiplexed inertial filtration is new. It holds promise to capture and contain lunar dust with less pressure drop and the filter does not clog. Year 2 will prototype an extremely small (<1000 cc) system. Year 3 will add electrostatics to improve collection of <3 micron fines.

Lunar Dust Mitigation is listed as a top CIF priority and associated KPPs are pressure drop, removal efficiency, removal efficiency for particles smaller than 3 microns, system capacity – ability to capture dust after the device has been loaded (3 Tbl flour test)
