Thermal Vibration Test System

Description

This project provides a method to test systems under combined thermal and vibration loads to evaluate the ability of a system to successfully operate during high speed flight. The thermal loads are in excess of normal thermal chambers, as they are based off quartz lamps or graphite heaters used in ground testing hypersonic structures.

Benefits

TVTS will provide a currently non-existent ground test method to evaluate the performance of systems under combined high temperature and vibration loads. This will either find problems prior to flight or reduce risk and increase confidence in systems to be used on high speed vehicles.
