GenSens: Genetically Engineered Cellular Sensors for Biological Effects of Spaceflight

Description

The objective of this study is cellular sensor engineering via stable integration of fluorescently-tagged constructs for DNA damage and oxidative stress into cellular DNA. Using genetically engineered cells with cellular sensors to build long-lived human brain organoids, we will evaluate cellular sensor efficacy, resolution, sensitivity as reporters of the biological effects of simulated space radiation.
