Description

Develop deterministic simulations with post-hoc probabilistic analysis of autonomy capabilities for early-stage simulation and fast methods for higher fidelity stochastic simulations. Apply to Earth-Science science mission design problems (NightHawk).

Benefits

Earth Science Technology Office’s New Observing Strategy calls for autonomous missions, but early-stage mission design lacks tools to effectively simulate autonomous missions, making it hard or impossible to effectively design such missions.
