Development of an Optic Fiber Based Hybrid Spectroscope

Description
The mission of the phase II E effort in partnership with NASA technical leaders, is for advancing technical achievements in the area of laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and Raman spectroscopy. Augmentation of LIBS and Raman spectroscopy with fluorescence imaging has also been enabled. The primary focus on this proposal will be to design, develop, test and engineer an ultra-compact specimen collection mechanism into the hybrid instrument. The engineering will directly support the co-occuring company spectroscopy research in LAMIS as part of NASA PICASSO.
