Completing the Next Generation MUSTANG Processor

Description

Modular Space Technology Avionics for Next Generation (MUSTANG) is an integrated avionics
architecture developed as GSFC with a wide range of applications including Earth Science,
Planetary/Lunar, and Heliophysics. As the demand for challenging science increases, so must the
performance of our flight processors. Using flight heritage and lessons learned from several different
missions, the MUSTANG team has made significant progress on its Quad-core Processor Card (mQPC)
design, which utilizes a newer multicore CPU, increases the overall memory capacity, and provides
higher data rate interfaces. This project will advance the design to facilitate PWB procurement.
