TangoBox: Demonstration of Next Generation Infrastructure for In-Space Research and Production

Space Tango is proposing the development of a prototype TangoBox facility to demonstrate robotic implementation of an organoid protocol as a pathfinder to a flight facility for us on future commercial space stations. The focus on automation will allow for greater scalability, quicker time to data for customer, open new business models and allow for greater uptime of facilities on the next generation of space platforms.

Benefits

Technology can be implemented into commercial space stations, Artemis, lunar gateway and moon to mars initiative for commonality across NASA's portfolio. TangoBox will allow for typical non space researchers to access microgravity research by reducing the amount of bespoke engineering which must happen for each payload. Chainging this dynamic will shorten the time from idea to data for publication.
