Description
Lunar Resources proposes to NASA the Lunar Joining of Elementary Structures (LUJES) SBIR Phase I project. The LUJES program will focus on joining aluminum truss joints on the Moon, without consumables, with new and novel advanced welding and joining technology.
Benefits
he specific application of LUJES will be for assembly of NASA’s 50m-class Tall Lunar Tower, however the joints and joining process may also be applied to a broad range of vertical and horizontal manufactured structures. Welding and joining commercial infrastructure on the Moon. And potentially applying the novel welding and joining technology for use on earth.
