Description
Build specialized; mmW apparatus for characterizing the collective Thomson scattering response of a laboratory plasma that emulates blackout conditions. Test the hypothesis that adjusting the frequency spacing of mmW tones; used for probing plasma properties; will result in predictable backscattering of tunable third-order intermodulation distortion (IM3) products.
