Description

Address the fundamental challenges of a potential all-dielectric on-chip receiver operating beyond 5 THz approaching the fundamental limits of compactness in an absorption-free platform; which is necessary to break decades-old bottlenecks in the THz-gap.

Benefits

Ultra low-loss; metal-free platform for THz/far-IR receivers can provide mission-critical technology for heliophysics; H-FORT; MIDEX by direct replacement of existing THz receiver technology for Earth; planetary; and astrophysics applications.
