Description
Objectives for technology investment: • Existing commercially available semiconductor lasers and optical amplifiers at visible wavelengths required for quantum sensors are extremely limited. • This effort seeks to develop visible-wavelength emitters custom-tailored for Cs- and Rb-based quantum systems with the goal of technology transfer to a domestic supplier. Key Technology development under this effort • Development of Higher power SOAs • Development of optical interface for efficient in-out coupling from the SOA to PM fiber • Advance the technology From TRL 3 to TRL5
