Fery Grism prototype - Next Gen Atmospheric Gas Spectrometers & Solar Induced Fluorescence Imaging Spectrometers

Description

Objectives for technology investment: • Demonstrate that JPL can electron-beam fabricate aberration- corrected gratings on curved odd-shaped fused-silica prisms. This will enable the SIF imaging spectrometer design, and will be a significant step towards the OCO-neXt silicon Fery grism. Key Technology development under this effort: • Fery grism prototype: E-beam fabrication of an aberration-corrected Fery grism for a SIF imaging spectrometer design. After fabrication, the grism will be characterized by profilometry and optically to the extent possible with simple setups. • TRL 2 to TRL 4
