Develop a “smart” spacecraft air filter system is proposed to meet the demands of remote missions to the Moon and Mars that will extend filter life, reduce or eliminate manual maintenance and the number of onboard spare filters.
Benefits
High performing filters are required to remove particulates and contaminates from the cabin air and to meet NASA’s allowable particulate matter(PM) concentration levels for the protection of the crew and equipment Provides enhanced customizable multi-stage filtration capability. Smart technology through Integrated sensors and controls for automation to reduce maintenance and crew support time.
