(GCA-1 with L3Harris): Lunar and Martian Regolith Testing of Antenna Systems and Associated Mechanisms

This project will focus on the development and implementation of test protocols and dust mitigation strategies for lunar and Martian regolith effects on tracking and deployable high gain antenna systems and associated mechanisms with an emphasis on extending system life. This project will be completed via a partnership between NASA Goddard and L3Harris to develop critical communications systems that align to the Goddard/SMD Tier 1 capability of supporting Space Networks and evolution. The proposed technology development will be suitable for future long-term lunar and Martian exploration.
