O2/CH4 Catalytic Heater for Lunar Night Survival​

Description

A catalytic O2/CH4 heater provides a means to survive the lunar night. “Burning” these energy-dense propellants is more mass-efficient than batteries and resistive heaters, and it makes use of propellants already aboard many lunar landers. This project will develop and test a prototype heater for eventual use on a lunar lander, hopper, or other vehicle.
