Non-Earth Orbit Conjunction Analysis

Description
Triton Systems, Inc. is developing innovative methods for locating the minimum distance and location of the closest approach with reduced run times and increased accuracy during non-earth conjunction analysis. Our algorithms will be used to study cislunar orbits and resolve issues related to hyperbolic or weak-stability orbits. We will also develop collision risk thresholds and mitigation recommendations for non-earth orbits.
Benefits
Triton’s computational methods are useful to improve space situational awareness and mission planning. These algorithms can be applied to conjunction analysis for both earth and non-earth orbits. The computational algorithms proposed in this effort have been utilized for various DOD research and development efforts for the Missile Defense Agency, Army, and Navy.
