AFFORD - Advanced Format and Feature Optimized ROIC Design

Description
The objective is to develop, fabricate and demonstrate novel ROICs for VIS-SWIR and TIR bands that meet and exceed needs of NASA’s future earth science missions. This effort is to bring the current TRL-3 design to a TRL-5 level. This effort will advance the ROIC technology by incorporating more functionality into the each pixel by using 65nm process compared to the state of the art of present ROIC at 160nm. This is critical for all future detector work, as the current vendors are being acquired by major companies and stop supplying ROICs for our PIs.
