ISS SpaceCube Experiment – Mini (ISEM)
Completed
TRL 6 (started at 6, targeting 6)
Description
Development of flight software for the Fabry-Perot Spectrometer (FPS) and the integration of the Autonomous On-board Processing for Sensor Systems (AOPSS) technology into the SpaceCube system ISE-M will demonstrate three new “never flown” ESTO technologies (developed under AIST and IIP) including SpaceCube “Mini”, FPS and the AOPSS in an “operational environment” on the ISS Demonstrate the FPS software on the ISE-M. Demonstrate the AOPSS experiment on the ISE-M or on the ISS SpaceCube Experiment 2.0 (ISE 2.0). (ISE 2.0 is part of Space Test Program's (STP)-H4 mission, currently installed on ISS.)

How to get involved
This is early/mid-stage (TRL 6) — the most realistic path in is NASA SBIR/STTR, which funds small businesses and research institutions to develop technology aligned with NASA's needs (equity-free, phased funding). Check whether a current SBIR/STTR solicitation topic overlaps with this project's technology area, or contact the project directly (above) to ask.
None of these are guaranteed paths for this specific project — TechPort itself doesn't have an "apply" button. Reaching out to the contact(s) above with a specific question is usually the fastest way to find out what's actually open.
