Description
Technical Approach: Perform literature search on efficient low-boom supersonic propulsion system; Identify and perform conceptual propulsion system design; Perform single propulsor design/analysis; Identify hardware needed to conduct future flight test, possibly on F-15B; Create roadmap for future flight test of SuperDEP.

Suspected Outcome: Feasibility of supersonic propulsion using DEP; Roadmap for future flight test of SuperDEP; The proposal addresses the following Aeronautics Research Strategic Thrusts 1) Innovation in Commercial Supersonic Aircraft, 2) Ultra-Efficient Commercial Vehicles, 3) Transition to Low-Carbon Propulsion. Potentially applicable to future supersonic transport vehicle.
