Description

Position sensitive solid-state detectors combining high-accuracy energy measurements with moderate resolution position (few millimeter) measurements in a single device

Benefits

Precision measurements of the differential energy loss charged particles and simultaneous position determination.

This technology can be applied to accurate measurements of cosmic-ray particle isotope or element species. There are also applications in high-energy particle calorimetry or other high-energy particle measurement techniques.
