Description

A cell medium designed for 3D printing that allows or enhances production of non-living biomaterials.

Benefits

A properly designed cell medium for synthetic biomaterial production maintains cell life support prior to printing, reduces cell stress and damage during printing, and interacts with the cell printing substrate to allow or provide material production stimulus post-printing.

The medium has been developed to allow the printing of 3D arrays of bioengineered cells for the purpose of producing human-designed, non-living biomaterials.  The same medium can, with modifications, support other applications, such as the following:
