Description

Aerojet Rocketdyne sought to develop, and flight qualify a 1 Newton thruster using AF-M315E green propellant. The project aimed to conduct initial heavyweight testing of Aerojet Rocketdyne’s GR-1 small rocket engine to optimize the injector design and the catalyst bed chamber diameter; complete design modifications and manufacture the next generation GR-1A thruster; conduct qualification testing on the GR-1A flight like thruster. Contractor delays resulted in missing the testing window, and the project was canceled.
