Description

Our objective is to further advance our understanding and accuracy of magnetic electron spectrometer measurements for a single look-direction instrument

Benefits

We anticipate that by fully characterizing the leakage magnetic field of the magnet section of a particular instrument we can demonstrate that, with proper shielding, it can be onboard an orbital flight very close to other instruments that could be affected by it without the shielding. This is particularly important in the case of cubesats where it is difficult to have any meaningful separation between instruments.
