Description
Leverage the new MIT nanophase seperation sintering process to develop an alloy through extrusion for higher temperature operation.
Benefits
Goal is to design a new Mo-W alloy for NTP application. This work support nuclear thermal propulsion with the goal of this project is to develop a novel material for NTP applications, which is optimized for fabrication of complex, efficient shapes, as well as high operating temperatures and neutron absorption.
