Predicting the Integrity of Additively Manufactured Nickel Alloys

Description
The aim of my research is to create databases that predict the integrity of additively manufactured (AM) nickel alloys. Nondestructive evaluation will be used in conjunction with mechanical testing, three-dimensional tomography, and digital image correlation across length scales. These experiments will inform the creation of databases that will be mined using large data approaches to predict component integrity based on varying print parameters. The creation of databases that predict the integrity of nickel alloys is essential for validating AM towards widespread usage in the aerospace industry, leading to improved component reliability and safety.
