Description

We propose to create a miniature GPS package for deployable sounding rocket sub-payloads.

Benefits

Adding GPS will improve the accuracy of sub-payload spatial determination, providing in situ science instruments with an enhanced ability to differentiate small scale phenomenon in the Mesosphere and Ionosphere. The resulting improvements in sub-payload capabilities will result in advancing the science objectives of the Sounding Rocket Program Office (SRPO) and their program's space scientists.
