Printed Hybrid Electronics for Demonstrations on Next Generation Microshutter Array Assemblies and Sounding Rocket Launch

Description

Printed Hybrid Electronics (PHE) will enable new assemblies that were not previously possible with traditional assembly processes. The objective is to create demonstrations using PHE technologies. Demonstrations include a sounding rocket technology demonstration circuit, and printed interconnects for next generation microshutter arrays (NGMSA).

Benefits

Direct-write printing has the potential to reduce mass and volume for fabrication and assembly of advanced instrument concepts by reducing feature sizes down to 10 microns, printing on complex geometries, and allowing new concept production for electronics and detector assemblies. Direct-write printing has potential to miniaturize, reduce risk and save fabrication cost and time.
