Develop technology to retrieve atmospheric surface pressure using microwave remote sensing.
Despite its importance in defining the hydrostatic components of the atmosphere, current technology requires in situ sensors to obtain pressure measurements. Remote sensing of atmospheric pressure will enable cost effective global pressure retrievals at higher resolution than current in situ sensor networks.
