This project will develop a hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) environment to support software and hardware testing to accelerate navigation, guidance, and control technology software and hardware development. The HWIL testbed will be used to simulate various flight scenarios, emulate sensor models, and test flight hardware and software to develop relevant GN&C systems that support NASA’s sustainable Moon presence and beyond.
Navigation teams will be able to maximize simulations and hardware development for cis-Lunar missions and Commercial Lander programs.
Ultimately, this facility could be used to provide IV&V services for other users (e.g. government, commercial, and universities) in near-earth or Cis-lunar space.
