CALISTE and developing the Next Generation HXR Detector for Solar Observations

Description

We will develop a low size, weight, and power (SWaP) x-ray spectrometer for small platforms that is capable of measuring large x-ray fluxes, such as those that are produced by solar flares, without saturation or degradation.

This will enable new missions that will improve our understanding of solar physics and space weather.
